Reaction Injection Molding, also known as low pressure injection molding, is a new process applied to the Rapid Molding Production. Parts made from mixing and injecting PU materials into a rapid mold and cured through chemical process of polymerization, cross linking in a low pressure and room temperature environment. With high efficiency, short production cycle, low cost advantages, RIM suitable for small-batch trial production during product development, as well as production of small-volume products with simple structures and large thick-walled and non-uniform wall thickness products.

 

Technical parameters:

1, Applicable mold:

ABS simple mold (50-100 pieces); Silicone mold (100-500 pieces); Rapid Aluminum Mold (500--1000 pieces):

2, Casting material: PU polyurethane.

Physical properties: similar to PP / ABS. Products with anti-aging, impact resistance, high consistency, easy handling and so on.

3, General working time: 20-30 minutes / piece, Rapid Prototype Mold release temperature can be controlled at about 40 ℃, after demolding the parts cured at 80 ℃ for 2-4 hours will be better. The curing time depends on the different materials and product size.

4, Accuracy: accuracy will be different with different product structure and product wall thickness,usually it will be ± 0.20mm / 1mm.

5, Casting thickness: the best thickness is 4 ~ 8mm and the maximum thickness is 20mm.

6, The largest size: 2000mmX1200mmX1000mm, product weight is about 10KG.

7, The minimum size: more than 500mm and 1kg of weight will be better.
